Anne Norman Bio
As Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of the University of Wisconsin Credit Union, Anne is once again doing what she was put on this planet to do: helping a purpose-driven Wisconsin brand connect with its customers in deeply meaningful ways.
Whether it’s Culver’s, American Family Insurance, or UWCU, Anne is a passionate steward of the brand, showing it how its values open avenues to turn customers into advocates and allies. She joined UWCU in 2018; prior to this, evidence of her expertise was most prominently on display as DreamBank, American Family’s experiential brand space in Madison that gave dreamers the resources, knowhow, and support to pursue their dreams with confidence.
That may sound like a curious chapter of a CMO’s story, but it reflects Anne’s education and training. In addition to dual degrees and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin, Anne is also a graduate of the Professional Life Coaching Certification program at UW. As a certified life coach, Anne leads her teams with a philosophy that honors people as the creative, capable experts they are. It’s not just brands Anne teams up with to create a plan for achieving dreams; it’s employees, colleagues, and friends as well.
In addition to her role at UW Credit Union, Anne also serves on the board at Pres House, a faith-based student organization located in the heart of the UW campus. To no surprise, Anne has called Madison home for twenty years, and she lives in Madison with her husband, two children, and beautiful but not brave German Shepherd. Even at home, though, she is never at rest. Figuring the next person to help achieve the next dream isn’t just a job or a hobby - it’s her purpose for being.
