Mary Donahue is originally from Chicago, but made the wise move to transplant to Madison in order to attend Edgewood College about 1,000 years ago. Having fallen in love with Madison on first sight, she stayed and build her career and family here. She’s been working in nonprofit development and marketing for the last 21 years. She’s served as the Director of Development for the Nature Conservancy, Sand County Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Madison, and joined DAIS just about one year ago. She is a member of the Downtown Madison Rotary Club and serves on the board for the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Kris Tazelaar has been the Director of Marketing & Communications for Second Harvest Foodbank of Southern Wisconsin for more than 9 years. He is responsible for all of the organization’s communications channels, including social media, website, email, public relations, community outreach, and graphic design. Prior to joining Second Harvest he worked in a variety of communications leadership roles for for-profit companies, primarily in the finance, publishing, and media sales sectors.

Calley Mannion is the Program Implementation Lead with Maydm, a tech education non-profit focused on providing girls and youth of color with the technical skills and exposure to revolutionize the STEM sectors. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a BS in Economics and a BS International Studies, where she focused her undergraduate studies on public policy initiatives and their impacts. Stemming from her previous work with international nonprofits, Calley is passionate about empowering women and underserved populations to thrive and break down the barriers of economic inequality, which led her to Maydm. She loves to hike and hike, and uses any excuse to escape into nature over the weekends.

We strive to be an inclusive organization and encourage our members to engage with, learn from, and develop an understanding of others. We prioritize the safety of our community and expect behavior that exhibits respect for all people and supports these values at all Magnet gatherings.
